Gary Tyra

    Memorial services for Gary Tyra, 75, will be held at a later time. Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. 
    Gary passed away on Monday, January 28, 2019 in Lubbock. He was born on December 20, 1943 in Big Spring to Arthur and Helen (White) Tyra. 
    Gary grew up in the Arvana Community and attended the schools in Lamesa. He loved riding and training horses. He worked as a security officer and cross country truck driver. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
    Gary is survived by his sisters, Judy Beam and husband, Neil, and Sherie Stokes, all of Lamesa. 
    Gary is preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Greta Gene Tyra.
