The population of Lamesa, like many towns across the United States, includes people who do not have a home. Several programs and organizations in the Lamesa area work to serve the homeless locally or provide resources the homeless may utilize. The women’s luncheon at Second Baptist Church gathered “blessing bags” for the homeless at their luncheon on Thursday, Jan. 17. Those bags include necessities like gloves, soap, and socks.
