Approximately 132 to 150 acres of city-owned land is available for lease from the City of Lamesa, but that lease will require the growing of alfalfa on the acreage. The Lamesa City Council agreed this past Tuesday to accept proposals for the agricultural lease that cannot exceed a length of five years. Proposals must be received at City Hall no later than 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15. City Manager Shawna D.
