The Sands boys and girls both captured wins in basketball action on Tuesday at Ackerly. The Lady ‘Stangs started the evening off with a 41-31 victory over Grady in District 8-1A play. The game was tied 19-19 at the half before Sands outscored Grady 14-7 in the third quarter and 8-5 in the fourth. “We played really good defense,” Sands Coach Ben Connell said. “I’m proud of the girls.
