Among the First United Methodist Church’s Christmas traditions is the Chrismon tree. Chrismon, which is a combination of the words Christ and monogram, means symbols of Christ. Chrismons are gold and white to represent majesty and purity. The evergreen tree symbolizes the eternal life that the congregation believes their Savior has won for them.
