The Sands girls basketball team just keeps rolling, improving their season record to 16-1 with a win over Wellman-Union on Tuesday at Wellman. Sands captured a 58-48 win after leading 28-24 at halftime. “We started off slow,” Sands Coach Ben Connell said. “We came back and scored 19 points in the fourth quarter and were able to win.” Me-A Gonzales led four Lady Mustangs in double figures with 16 points.
