Due to a change in state computer programs, the Dawson County Clerk’s office will not be able to issue remote birth certificates effective Dec. 28, according to County Clerk Darla Sheppard. Remote birth certificates are those that the clerk’s office has been able, through a statewide data system, to print for individuals who were born in other Texas counties.
