The board of Lamesa ISD approved two contracts for improvements to school district facilities at a special called meeting this past Wednesday. The Aquilla Environmental LED lighting contract for Lamesa ISD buildings and the contract for improvements to football, baseball and softball fields with Hellas Construction were approved by the board. Superintendent Jim Knight said the school had been in talks with Aquilla and Hellas about their plans for the school before the district’s regular board meeting in November.
