Economic boards continue talks about I-27
In an attempt to keep in Texas Department of Transportation’s (TxDOT) plans to construct a major highway through Texas, members of the Lamesa Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) and Lamesa Economic Alliance Project (LEAP) received updates Monday on doing a feasibility study on the construction one day of Interstate 27.

Stepping back in time, nine contestants seeking top honors in the first annual Miss Cherry Pop Pageant came to the 1950’s themed party Saturday afternoon dressed in a pink poodle skirt, a black motorcycle jacket, stylish sunglasses and the hairstyles from days long gone by.
