SEMINOLE – Tommy Spence’s auto tech classes at Seminole High School are set to begin their annual “Give a Child a Smile” project shortly after Thanksgiving and are asking the community to donate any used bicycles they might have to aid in the activity. In its 21st year, the community service project provides repaired bicycles for children in Gaines County for Christmas.

First Baptist Church of Lamesa recently was recognized by the Baptist General Convention for its financial contributions to the organization’s cooperative program.
