Liz Oaks, chief financial officer for the Lamesa school district, reached out to the Press-Reporter to dispute several items included in a story this past Sunday about last week’s school board meeting, particularly comments made by board member Kevin Telchik to the paper on Friday that she did not have an opportunity to respond to.
This remainder of the week will feature an array of activities leading up to Lamesa High School’s homecoming football game on Friday at Tornado Stadium.
A meeting of Lamesa’s economic development boards which was planned for Monday evening was cancelled that morning when it became apparent a quorum of members would not be available.
