Cris Norris (center), president of the Lamesa Service Club, presents Laynie Allen, president of the Lamesa High School chapter of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), a $1,000 check to help cover the students’ expenses as they participate in various contests and activities around the state this spring. Many of the students assisted the Lamesa Service Club during the organization’s recent annual pancake supper.
