The Plains Cotton Growers Inc. 66th Annual Meeting has been set for Tuesday, March 28, at the Overton Hotel and Conference Center in Lubbock. Walk-in registration and a buffet breakfast will begin at 7:30 a.m., and the program will commence at 9 a.m.

TAHOKA – The citizens of Tahoka are in good shape when it comes to their water supply. After years of boil water notices, broken waterlines, high nitrate levels from city wells, and other water system headaches, the citizens of Tahoka are now, finally, in a very good place in regards to their city water. In the last few years, the city has completed a modernized system of new waterlines throughout the city to replace a 100-year-old system, and recently completed the addition of a new water well which supplements the city’s water supply from Lake Meredith.
BROWNFIELD – More than half a century ago, a coterie of local artists gathered for the first time to share their passion for creativity splashed on canvas. Now, decades later, the Brownfield Art Association is continuing their annual tradition with their week long art show coming up in April.
