Elwood Freeman (right), president of Lamesa National Bank, was honored during a reception Friday afternoon for more than 75 years in the banking business. Libby Clark with the Texas Bankers Association was on hand to present Freeman with a copy of a resolution from the association recognizing Freeman for his many years of service. Also shown is Bryan Nowlin, Freeman’s grandson who currently serves as a vice president at the bank. Freeman has been with the local bank since 1973 and got his start in banking in 1944.
When O’Donnell school students begin the 2023-2024 academic year in August, they’ll be under a slightly different calendar than usual.
Parents or guardians with little ones heading to pre-kindergarten classes in August can begin Tuesday registering them for school at O’Donnell Elementary.
