A rebound from COVID and growth in the business sector is being credited for helping boost revenue for both the City of Lamesa and Dawson County.Information released this past week by the state comptroller’s office shows the increase in local sales tax revenue seen here during recent months is continuing.City and county sales taxes collected by merchants on taxable products is sent to the state comptroller’s office along with state sales tax revenue. The local portion is then rebated monthly to the city, county or other entity for which it is collected.The City of Lamesa’s rebate this month totals $258,370,
