Lamesa Veterans Association (LVA) members Monday elected to fill in several offices to their newly formed organization.They selected James Grayson to serve as LVA’s commander and Shane Carter as its vice-commander. They will both serve two year terms.Danny Jacobs is the treasurer and Curtis Lloyd is the organization’s chaplain.The meeting, held in the Second Baptist Church’s Fellowship Hall, brought out fewer than expected attendance.Many military veterans were unable to attend the organization’s third meeting due to Lames High School’s homecoming parade, bonfire and burning of the school letters taking place around the same time period.The veterans, fathers and grandfathers, had ...
