Motorcyclist dies in accident
A motorcyclist died in a two vehicle collision that happened around 4:26 p.m., July 28 at the intersection of 4th Street and N. Bryan Ave.
Motorcyclist Jeremy Davis, 34, of California was transported to Medical Arts Hospital where he was declared dead.
The accident happened as a 64-year-old Lamesa woman, driving a Chrysler sedan, was heading eastbound on Seminole Hwy. She was in the process of making a left turn while Davis, traveling westbound, entered the intersection at 4th Street when they collided, said Police Chief Josh Peterson.
The woman’s name is not being released as Lamesa Police Department officers continue their investigation.
“Our investigation should be complete in the next couple of weeks,” Peterson said.
The female driver isn’t facing any current charges. That could change depending upon the outcome of the investigation.
“We’re still investigating and we’re pulling footage from the businesses from the intersection. We’re piecing that all together now.
“We’ll wait and see where the investigation takes us.”
