A choice of movies and food will be available when Lamesa’s Movieland Theater holds its annual membership drive event on Feb. 28.
Lamesa High School culinary teacher Kevin Pedroza’s culinary students are competing in a barbecue contest here this weekend but recently came back from another contest with awards for their serving skills.
The one day out of the year to recognize the 46 men who have served in the highest office in the land will result in the closures of federal and county offices, and local banks on Monday for Presidents’ Day.
The public is invited for a meet and greet with Congressman Jodey Arrington from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m., Tuesday at Forrest Park Community Center at 814 S. Houston Ave.
