Members of various Lamesa High School graduating classes from the 1960 and early 1970s held a reunion Sept. 30-Oct. 2 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Midland.
The curtain will open Thursday evening for the first of seven presentations of “Last Roundup of the Guacamole Queens” by the Lamesa Community Players. The hilarious comedy will be presented at the Lamesa Community Playhouse, 214 N. Austin Ave., Oct. 6, 7, 8, 10, and 11 at 7 p.m., with a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. on Oct. 9.
An author with close ties to this area will be in town Wednesday to showcase her books, visit with students at three local school campuses, and hold a book-signing at the county library.
