Events for Veterans set Monday
The community is honoring its military veterans with several events scheduled Monday.
DEALERSHIP TOUR
Educator Amber Johnson’s special education class recently visited the Premier Ford car dealership, along with 13 other businesses, to learn all about careers. In order to connect the lessons with real life, they visited 14 retail shops to learn about different positions, pay scales, becoming an owner/operator, and what skills are necessary to land the job. Two students picked up applications while out on job tours. They toured Higginbotham, United, Tea 2 Go, Claiborne’s, Lucy’s Flour Shop, Boost Mobile, Security Finance, Golden Tor Nutrition, West Texas Graphics, Advanced Auto Repair, Pedroza’s, Brock’s Veterinary Clinic and Stock & Petal.

Many local governmental offices and various other facilities will be closed Monday due to the Veterans Day federal holiday.

Lamesa Community Players’ cast and crew are currently working on their next production, “Elf: The Musical.” The show takes center stage at 7 p.m., Dec. 5-7 and Dec. 13-14; and
