Servers dish out freshly made pancakes during the 72nd annual Lamesa Service Club in the high school cafeteria Saturday. Lamesa Service Club members host the annual breakfast dinner to support local youth activities and other organizations here. Around 1,000 diners showed up for the meal while high school culinary students, along with middle school students, prepared the meals. Lamesa Boys and Girls Club members assisted in serving the meals. Among the major recipients of funds from the club are the Lamesa Boys and Girls Club, Dawson County Senior Citizens Center, and the Lamesa High School culinary program. Culinary students helped cook. Middle school students and Lamesa Boys and Girls Club members assisted in preparing and serving the meals.
