It’s been about four years since city employees have seen a pay hike. Lamesa City Council reviewed the idea of delivering pay raises in the past, but the figures got sidelined by COVID-19, and vehicle and equipment purchases.
Investigators are still seeking to determine the cause of a fire late Monday night that destroyed a mobile home at the corner of 6th St. and Ave. K.
Driving from Midland to Lamesa is normally a 60 mile trek and takes about an hour to complete by car.
