The Nazarene Mission Ministry Tent Revival will be held at the ministry’s facilities, 602 North Avenue G, this coming Saturday, beginning at noon.
The Tent Revival will allow individuals to join others in the community for a day of praise and worship. The event will start at noon with a hotdog lunch provided by The Gideons, who will be handing out Bibles, as well.
Raffle tickets will be sold for a drawing to be held at 1 p.m. Geno Salazar and his band will provide the music, evangelist Noell Diaz will preach, and Michael Gatek of African Relief Ministries will speak at the revival.
Nazarene Mission Ministry president Tammy Gibbs said Gatek visits Africa once a year with clothes to donate for orphans and widows.
Pathway to Freedom will attend the event was well. The ministry, which is based in the Believer’s Baptist Church in Lamesa, helps people with drug and alcohol addiction.
Gibbs said the purpose of the revival is to let the people know about these ministries so they can be aware of and fill the needs of the community.
“We want to promote missions, because there’s so many needs. Also, we’re hoping that people will hear the word and be saved if they’ll be open to the preachers,” Gibbs said.
Noell Diaz will speak at the Church of the Nazarene’s Sunday morning service. In addition, Michael Gatkek will speak at Believer’s Baptist Church.
