Mina “Minnie” Gutierrez was lifted by angels to her eternal rest on Friday, April 7, 2017 in Lubbock.
    She was born in Poteet, Texas on June 3, 1937 to Juan and Elena (Hilburn) Gutierrez. Minnie was a lifetime resident of Lamesa, where she lived after leaving her childhood home.
    Minnie was a loving mother to Diana Sedeno and husband, Armando, of Houston and Cynthia Gonzales and husband, Pedro, of Midland.
    She is survived by sisters, Beatrice Molina of Denver, Colorado, Julia Lozada of Lamesa, Lupe Tejeda of Lamesa and Lily Torres of Lamesa; grandchildren, Rico Sedeno, AnnDrea Searby and husband, Michael, Ryan Sedeno, Rebecca Pobst and husband, Dustin; and six great-grandchildren.
    She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Juan and Oscar Gutierrez; and sister, Estella Guerra.
    Minnie loved to travel, enjoyed playing at the casino, watching movies, attending sporting events and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed.
    Funeral Mass for Mina Hilburn Gutierrez, 79, of Lamesa, will be held on Monday, April 10, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Joseph Kurumbel officiating.
    Interment will follow at Dawson County Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home in Lamesa.
    Rosary will be recited on Sunday, April 9, 2017, at 7:00 p.m., at Branon Funeral Home Chapel.
