Annual awards assemblies for students at Lamesa Middle School and Lamesa High School will be held next Monday, May 21, while students at those campuses also will receive their yearbooks on that day.
LHS’s awards assembly is scheduled to start at 9:30 a.m. Monday in the high school auditorium. Classes will be recognized in the following order: seniors; juniors; sophomores; and freshmen.
The LMS awards assembly will be held in Follis Gym, beginning at 2 p.m. Monday. Class order will be: eighth grade; seventh grade; and sixth grade.
LHS and LMS students have worked hard in academics, athletics, band and may other activities. The purpose of the awards assemblies is to honor the hard-working students on both campuses for their efforts and accomplishments during the 2017-2018 school year.
Parents and other members of the community are invited to attend the awards assemblies as the schools honor those young people on each campus.
Students also are encouraged to be in attendance at school on Monday afternoon so they can pick up their 2018 yearbooks. Students who purchased a yearbook and have withdrawn from school may pick up their yearbooks at the scheduled distribution time.
No yearbooks will be handed out before the scheduled time.
LHS will distribute yearbooks beginning at 2:40 p.m. in the high school west gym. LMS will deliver yearbooks at 3:30 p.m. in Follis Gym.
