The Klondike FFA Land Judging team took top honors in competition last week at the Anson Invitational Career Development Events Contest.
Klondike topped 24 other teams in that event. Klondike’s Luke Smith finished with the third-best individual score, while Robert Guerra placed seventh individually and Briley Beck finished 11th among almost 100 contestants.
Other members of Klondike’s Land Judging squad were Ross Raines, Derrick Hatchett, Josie Clement, Zerik Lee and Aaron Young.
Despite having only two members competing – instead of the normal three or four that make up a team – Klondike captured 10th among 18 teams in Homesite Evaluation.
Klondike’s Kelby O’Brien had the top individual score in that event, with teammate Price Cooper placing 4th among the 56 contestants.
Competing for the first time in Wildlife, Klondike placed 15th among 24 teams at the Anson contest. Sarah Kearney led the squad, placing 23rd among 88 individual competitors.
Also competing in Wildlife for Klondike were Alexi Bushong, Haleigh Archer, Cheyenne Gruben and Liddie Smith.
