        Local officials basically said “thanks, but no thanks” here this week in regard to a request for a resolution supporting a proposed extension of Interstate 27 south of Lubbock along the Ports-to-Plains Corridor to the border with Mexico.

  • Parking Lot Maintenance

    Workers were busy on Tuesday afternoon sealing the parking area near the Emergency and Outpatient entrance for Medical Arts Hospital in Lamesa. That entrance was blocked off, but the hospital and adjoining Rural Health Clinic could be accessed by the clinic’s driveway. Work will continue, weather permitting, in different areas until the entire parking lot has been completed.   (Herrel Hallmark/Press-Reporter)
